Session Guidelines

Preparation for our sessions

Before our sessions please take some time to think about what you want to achieve from our sessions and how this will affect your life when you achieve this. Set an intention. It might help to write down your thoughts and feelings before and between the sessions so you can notice anything specific that seems to be popping up or changes that you are noticing over the days between sessions. Sometimes the thoughts that pop up can seem quite random but this is your subconscious mind reordering things and is quite normal after hypnotherapy.

What you will need for your sessions.

Please find somewhere you can be comfortable for the duration of the hypnotherapy, NLP, meditation and breathwork. A comfortable chair that supports your head and neck is ideal or the sofa or your bed if you prefer to be more reclined for your session. You may like to have a pillow or cushion to support you. Occasionally, people fall asleep during hypnotherapy and I will allow you the time you need to awaken naturally although most clients awaken quite quickly feeling very relaxed.

If you feel the need to move during a session, that is fine too and we will incorporate this into the session to support you into releasing the old patterns of thought that have been affecting you up until now.

To make the most of your session, please make sure this time is for you, that there won’t be any interruptions if possible during our session such as phone notifications, deliveries, children wanting your time etc.

If Your Session is Online

Ensure you have a good internet connection to ensure the quality of your session. You can test your connection by using a speed test tool online. A laptop or tablet is a better option than a phone as it is more stable and enables me to have a better view of you during the session because at some points I need to be able to see your hands or see you nod your head during hypnosis.

Consider using headphones or earbuds to ensure you can hear all my instructions clearly.

Hydrate

Make sure you're well-hydrated before your session. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol or caffeine, which can interfere with the hypnosis process.

Please avoid any recreational substances as this too can interfere with the work we do with the subconscious mind.

Wear comfortable clothing

Choose loose, comfortable clothing that won't restrict your movement or distract you during the session.

Be open and willing

Hypnosis is a collaborative process, and your willingness to participate and follow instructions is key to achieving success. Be open to the experience and trust that I have your highest interests at heart.

Questions

If you have any questions before your appointments then please feel free to send me a message via WhatsApp and I will get back to you as soon as possible in working hours.

Health Check

Before your hypnotherapy session, it's important to consider consulting with your doctor especially if you are currently having treatment for what you are seeing me for. Hypnotherapy is generally safe for most people, but it's always a good idea to consult with your doctor if you have any concerns about your health.

If you are taking any prescription medication please let me know especially if you are diabetic or on heart or blood pressure medication.

Health Insurance

Check your health insurance, if you have it. Most hypnotherapists have their own private practice in the UK, but there are some health care insurance companies who will cover for hypnotherapy treatment. Check with your insurance provider to see if you're covered.

We hope these tips help you feel prepared and ready for your hypnotherapy session. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to working with you!
