Frequently Asked Questions
You might be curious, nervous, or simply wondering how hypnosis actually works.
That’s completely normal.
Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions people ask before their first session.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Most people describe it as a state of deep calm — like being completely relaxed but still aware of everything around you.
Some people feel like they are just listening to me with their eyes closed whereas others drift in and out, as if asleep. How you feel is completely unique to you and there is no right or wrong way to feel.
For many, it’s similar to that feeling just before you drift off to sleep, or when you’re so absorbed in a good book that the world fades away.
You’ll hear everything I say, you’ll remember the session, and you’ll always be in control.
Will I lose control or do something I don’t want to?
Absolutely not.
Hypnosis can’t make you do anything you don’t want to. You’re fully conscious the whole time, just deeply relaxed and focused.
You can open your eyes, speak, or stop at any point if you wish.
It’s your mind, your choice, your session.
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes.
Hypnotherapy is a gentle, natural process that uses your own ability to focus and imagine.
It’s safe, respectful, and designed to help your mind work for you, not against you.
If you’ve ever daydreamed, driven home on “autopilot,” or been lost in a movie — you’ve already experienced light states of hypnosis before.
Is online hypnosis as effective as in-person sessions?
Yes — often even more so.
Doesn’t matter whether you are in the UK or an international client; all you need is a quiet space, a comfortable chair, and a stable internet connection. I’ll guide you through every step — from setup to relaxation — so you can feel calm and supported throughout.
Many clients even prefer online sessions because they can relax in their own familiar surroundings.
Online session setup tips…
Find a spot where you won’t be disturbed, use headphones if possible, and keep your camera at eye level. Most clients say online sessions feel even more relaxing because they’re already in their own familiar space.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on what you’d like to work on.
Some issues, like fears or phobias, can completely shift after a couple of sessions. I certainly expect you to start to feel beneficial changes after the first session.
For deeper or long-term patterns like anxiety or confidence, most people notice real change within 3–6 sessions.
We’ll always review your progress together and go at a pace that feels right for you — no pressure, no long-term commitment.
if you feel you need more sessions after the initial program of 3 then you have the option of either to book individual sessions (£150) or book another program
Is there any support between sessions?
Yes, I am available between sessions via WhatsApp should you notice any shifts or things bubble after your hypnosis. It is quite common for clients to have the subconscious mind reveal deeper underlying issues or a forgotten event that at the time seemed unimportant but is the origin of your problem. I encourage you to write down any thoughts or feelings to pop up between sessions and any shifts you notice. Also, if you have any questions or areas you want to concentrate on in the next session then let me know by WhatsApp
What if I’ve had a difficult or traumatic past?
You don’t need to go into details for hypnotherapy to work.
I take a gentle, trauma-informed approach that focuses on helping you feel safe, calm, and in control.
We work with your mind’s natural healing ability, not by reliving painful experiences, but by releasing the emotional responses connected to them.
What happens in a session?
Each session begins with a relaxed chat so I can understand what’s been happening and what you want to achieve.
Then, I’ll guide you into hypnosis — a calm, comfortable state where your mind becomes open to positive change.
You’ll stay aware and in control throughout.
At the end, I’ll bring you gently back to full awareness, feeling refreshed, lighter, and often pleasantly surprised by how calm you feel.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes — every new client begins with a free 30-minute clarity call.
It’s simply a relaxed chat where we talk about what’s going on for you, what you’d like to change, and whether hypnosis is the right fit.
There’s no pressure to book — only if we both feel it’s the right next step will we arrange a session.

Where are you based?
I work primarily online, which means I can support clients across the UK and internationally. I'm based in Norfolk, and for local clients, in-person sessions are available by arrangement. Online sessions are just as effective and often more convenient - once your eyes are closed, the location doesn't matter.
I also work with international clients online as long as you have a good internet connection. However, I only see English speaking clients as I am not fluent in other languages..
What do I need to make the most from a session?
To get the most from your session, choose a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be interrupted, turn off notifications, and make sure you’re hydrated and relaxed. If your session is online, check your internet connection and use a laptop or tablet if possible.
